How the score works.
Scores are built from weighted rules, and only the rules that fit the page type count against it.
- Readiness score
- Points earned on core and bonus rules, divided by the points possible on core rules, × 100. Each rule carries its own weight.
- Core, bonus, skipped
- Core rules count fully for the page type. Bonus rules add half their value and never lower the score. Rules that do not apply are skipped.
- Grade
- A+ at 90 and above, A at 80, B at 70, C at 50, F below 50.
- Category label
- Excellent at 80 and above, Good at 60, Developing at 40, Needs Improvement below 40.
- Severity
- Critical, High, Medium, or Low — how much a failed rule is likely to hold the page back. Indexability and HTTPS are Critical; canonical tags are High.
Good to know
- Pages are read as the server delivers them — the same HTML most AI crawlers see, since they do not run JavaScript.
- Rules adapt to the page type, so a pricing page is not marked down for missing article markup.
- Site-wide checks run once per domain and apply to every page on it.
- Up to three pages are analysed per run, so results come back quickly.
