HubSpot AEO Grader Alternatives: Which AI Visibility Checkers Actually Work?
HubSpot’s AI Search Grader gives a free one-time brand check across ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini. Eight alternatives for ongoing daily tracking, compared on engines and price.

What are the best HubSpot AEO Grader alternatives?
TL;DR: HubSpot’s AI Search Grader is a free, one-time check of how ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini describe your brand. For ongoing tracking, the best alternatives are Yozigo ($39/month (Solo), daily, adds Google AI Overviews), Otterly.ai ($29/month), Peec AI (€89/month), LLM Pulse (€49/month), the Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit ($99/month) and Ahrefs Brand Radar (from $50/month).
Key takeaways
- The HubSpot grader scores five dimensions out of 100 from the engines’ training data, once.
- HubSpot AEO, the paid product, monitors ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini for $50/month or inside Marketing Hub Pro and Enterprise.
- Neither covers Google AI Overviews, AI Mode or Copilot.
- Use the grader for a first look, then track real buyer prompts daily.

What does the HubSpot AI Search Grader measure?
The grader scores sentiment (up to 40 points), presence quality (20), brand recognition (20), share of voice (10) and market position (10). It asks ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini about your brand and reads what their training data says. No account is needed.
That makes it a useful snapshot and a weak tracker. It runs once, does not use your buyers’ real questions, and leaves out Google AI Overviews, AI Mode and Copilot. Daily tracking on fixed prompts is what shows whether your work moves the numbers.

Which alternative should you use after the HubSpot grader?
Pick the next tool by the engines the grader leaves out. HubSpot’s grader and HubSpot AEO cover ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini, while Google AI Overviews answered and cited sources for 98.4% of the buyer questions we tracked (Yozigo tracking, October 2026), so most teams need Google’s AI answers too.
An AI visibility checker works for ongoing tracking only if it runs the same questions repeatedly with live web search. All eight alternatives in the table do that daily or on a schedule you set, while HubSpot’s free grader runs once on ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini (vendor pages checked on 11 October 2026). Most of them also cover Google AI Overviews.
You want Google’s AI answers too
Yozigo Solo includes Google AI Overviews and Gemini from $39; Momentum adds Google AI Mode and Copilot.
You live in HubSpot
HubSpot AEO is the least effort if you already pay for Marketing Hub Pro or Enterprise.
You want the cheapest daily tracking
Otterly Lite at $29/month.
You want market-wide data
Ahrefs Brand Radar models visibility across 470 million prompts.
Whichever you pick, start with the questions buyers actually ask. Our prompt discovery framework shows how to choose them.
How much does each HubSpot AEO alternative cost per prompt?
| Tool and plan | Monthly price | Prompts | Engines | Per prompt per engine |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Yozigo Solo | $39 | 30 | 4 | $0.33 |
| Yozigo Momentum | $149 | 100 | 6 | $0.25 |
| Yozigo Authority | $349 | 200 | 6 | $0.29 |
| Otterly.ai Lite | $29 | 15 | 4 | $0.48 |
| Otterly.ai Standard | $189 | 100 | 4 | $0.47 |
| Otterly.ai Premium | $489 | 400 | 4 | $0.31 |
| Peec AI Starter | €89 | 50 | 3 | €0.59 |
| Peec AI Pro | €199 | 150 | 3 | €0.44 |
| LLM Pulse Starter | €49 | 50 | 5 | €0.20 |
| Ahrefs Brand Radar Custom prompts Basic | $50 | 80 | 1 | $0.63 (example package; overage billed per check) |
HubSpot does not publish how many prompts its $50 AEO plan tracks, so it is left out of this table. For the dedicated trackers, LLM Pulse Starter (€0.20) and Yozigo Momentum ($0.25) cost least per prompt per engine, followed by Yozigo Solo ($0.33), Otterly Lite ($0.48) and Peec Starter (€0.59). Ahrefs’ $50 custom prompt package works out at about $0.63.
Per prompt per engine = monthly price ÷ (prompts × engines included). It is a fairer comparison than the headline price, because cheap plans usually cut prompts or engines first.
Two caveats apply to any per-prompt comparison. Some vendors sell extra engines or extra checks as add-ons, which changes the real cost, and AI-tool prices change often, so re-check each vendor’s page before you buy. Every figure here was checked on the vendor’s pricing page on 11 October 2026.
How did we pick these HubSpot AEO alternatives?
We started from the tools AI engines themselves name when buyers ask about HubSpot AEO. In our tracking of 87 unbranded buyer prompts from 11 September to 10 October 2026, ChatGPT searched for vendor names before answering, so the tools on its shortlist are the ones most buyers end up comparing.
We then kept tools that publish a price or a free tier, track at least three AI engines, and run prompts on a schedule rather than once. Each price and plan limit comes from the vendor’s own pricing page on the date shown in the table. Where a vendor does not publish a figure, we say so instead of estimating it. How Yozigo collects its own data is on our methodology page.
What should you test before switching from HubSpot AEO?
Run the same prompts in both tools for at least two weeks. AI answers change between sessions and days: in our tracking, ChatGPT named about 14 brands per answer and Perplexity about 16, and the lists shifted daily, so a single run proves nothing. Compare the grader’s one-time score with two weeks of daily results; the gap shows how much live web search changes the picture.
Your real buyer questions
Use 15 to 30 questions your customers actually ask, not questions that already name you. Our prompt discovery framework shows how to pick them.
Branded and unbranded separately
Questions that contain your name are mentioned almost every time and inflate visibility. Check that the tool reports them apart, as explained in branded vs unbranded AI visibility.
The engines your buyers use
Confirm Google AI Overviews and AI Mode for Google-heavy markets, and Copilot for B2B buyers on Microsoft 365.
The sources behind each answer
A tool should show which pages each engine cited, so you know where to get mentioned. See how to track your brand in ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity for the manual version of this check.
Exports and history
Make sure you can export prompts, answers and citations, so a future switch does not cost you your trend lines.
How accurate are AI visibility checkers?
AI visibility checkers are only as accurate as their sample. AI answers change between sessions: in our tracking, ChatGPT named about 14 brands per answer and Perplexity about 16, and the lists shift day to day. A checker that asks once gives a snapshot that can differ from the next run, which is the main limitation reviewers raise about one-time graders.
Accuracy improves with repetition and live search. Run the same questions daily, with web search on, and read the trend over two weeks. Check the method too: whether the tool uses live answers or training data, which engines and regions it covers, and whether branded questions are split out. Our methodology page shows how Yozigo handles each of these.
