Perplexity visibility tracker
Perplexity cites sources in every answer and names more brands than any other engine, 16 on average in our data. Yozigo checks your buyer questions in Perplexity every day, not weekly, and shows where you appear and which pages it relied on.
How does Perplexity choose which brands to name?
Perplexity always shows its sources
every answer in our data cited at least one, with a median of 15. It names about 16 brands per answer, so there is room on the list, but the order changes often.
It favours pages whose wording matches the question. Its searches are often close to the question itself, so a page titled with the buyer’s exact question tends to be retrieved. Press-release wires such as EIN Presswire and PR Newswire are cited unusually often, which makes news distribution a quick route in.
Which sources does Perplexity cite?
| Source type | Share of citations |

| Third-party company sites | 81.6% |

| News and press | 4.2% |
| Other vendors’ sites | 2.4% |

Check the Sources list under each answer. In our data 100% of Perplexity answers cited sources, but only a small share point to the brand’s own site; most come from third-party pages.
Perplexity changes its brand lists often. A weekly check can miss whether a page update or a new mention changed anything; daily runs show the trend within days.
